Planting Moringa Seeds – Moringa oleifera
Moringa oleifera is a fairly wonderful plant. It is extremely nutritious and tastes fairly good too. Here is a good web site with numerous data on why you may wanna develop this tree if you’re in the proper local weather:
So far I’ve had fairly good success with these two bushes rising in material pots within the backyard. This 12 months they gave me seeds. I assumed it could be enjoyable to see if I may get among the seeds to develop.
As a bonus I present you’ve a few my candy potato crops did this 12 months…

Are you going to sell some Moringa seeds?
Awesome update thank you for sharing have a blessed day
Blake did you get the seed pods from your tree? What growing zone are you in. So far my moringa have not flowered. I'm in Zone 8b. Blake that is not a dibber it is from a cone shaped colander/strainer my grandmother had one. Have a great day best wishes Bob.
every time my Moringa trees get big enough and I bring them indoors for winter, my cat really favors tearing them up. every single time. I'll keep trying though cause it's an amazing plant all around. yours look awesome! what is the taste like? I haven't gotten to taste it yet. 🙁
Did you grow that in ground? The Moringa plants??
Blake, do you plant the plant in the pot or can the plant be taken out of the fabric pots?
The wooden planting aid over here in the uk we call it a Dibber !!
goats love sweet potato vines good to know
Nice video. Thanks!
That conical wooden tool is actually a Chinois strainer pestle (See https://www.amazon.com/Fox-Run-5292-3-Piece-Stainless-Steel/dp/B0000VLPMQ), but it works great as a dibber (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dibber).
Dude, I love your videos.. You speak so well 😀 Thanks for sharing.
Usually in south Asians plant muranga by cutting branches from the mother tree and plant in directly on soil it's easy and grow super fast.by the way u must try young muranga as soup with coconut milk or other kind of milk .really taste and very healthy.three weeks old muranga is the best.we usually cooking with spices and coconut milk.😊
I conquer with you. It's to strain food in a colander
I just planted out some moringa seeds this week, just stuck them in a pot and hope for the best. I'm south of Perth in Western Australia 🙂 Common food for people in India.
Good video by the way, but trim your fingernails 🙂
I grow some moringa, I love it.
How did you get the moringa tree?
ALL of my plants had died last year. I simply just had a bad soil
excellent
Must it be harvested when dried or just matured and wet?
How are they now
Very nice video. Very informative. Thanks.
Hello blake. How are you? I will try to find moringa seeds to bring this plant to Greece! About sweet potatoes I want to tell you that since I saw all your own videos, I have very nice sweet potatoes in the garden and in large pots! Everyone asks me how I did it. You are a teacher and now I will become myself for others. Haha! Goodbye! 😄
Where in TX?? I am Houston and am wanting to grow Moringa for my husband who has cancer. Someone will gift a plant to me and I have about 10 seeds. My yard is small and house is situated east/west. Would planting on the south side be better for cooler weather? So much to learn. Wonderful superfood. We are already consuming it but cant find enough fresh. I wish also to put excess in capsules to take on the go. Wonderful video!! Thx
How long is the growing season in Houston?
My granny gave me a bunch. When you have a ricer, you use that to mash fruits and veggies into bowl. Better than masher. They season those for years to ensure they do not get wet and split.
I'm in central Fl. zone 9a. I split the pods open and only planted the white seed. I planted 6 and all six came up. Never grew them before so I experimenting also.
You can eat the seeds…
No, it is made to rice/mash things like potatoes in a same shaped sieve. ..
Man where do u live to have that kind of garden??? Its like an ecosystem by itself there or a forest…jealous. I live too far up north of US so it's hard to start anything without thinking its gonna likely to die in winter
It’s a dibble. You can had a couple to make a different diameter holes. Marked with lines to show depth. Nail polish works.
You should crack open the hard outer shell of the seeds
it was very easy to grow for me just put some seeds into a pot of dirt cover them an they grow up in three weeks
So its 4 yrs? Later how did the moringa seeds do? That dibbler thing was what my grandmother used in a cone shaped strainer to separate seeds out of dewberries and the juice underneath into bowl and made into jelly.
That tool is for pressing potatoes through a ricer. Makes very nice and smooth mashed potatoes. No lumps.
That actually goes to a ricer and is used for removing the seeds and skins from fruits and vegetables as you puree them .
I'm in 9a Florida. Why not take the shell off of the Moringa seeds before planting?
I saw another video and they said don’t plant on cool weather, they love HOT weather and also to plant
Did you ever do update?
Will seeds from a non-dried pod sprout?
