A discipline examine was carried out at Atonsu, Sekyere Central District, Ghana from 2013 to 2014, to (i) decide the results of Moringa oleifera, Chromolaena odorata and Panicum maximum as ex-situ mulches, on soil nematodes inhabitants after two years of yam cropping and (ii) assess the results of the soil nematodes on the yield and bodily tuber high quality of yam. The discipline experiment was a 3×3 factorial association in a randomized full block design with three replications. The first issue was ex-situ mulch sorts at three ranges; Panicum maximum (farmers’ alternative), Chromolaena odorata and Moringa oleifera. The second issue was pure fallow aged methods at three ranges: 3, 5 and 7 years previous. Data collected included nematode inhabitants adjustments, complete tuber yield of yam and tuber bodily high quality evaluation. Generally, Meloidogyne spp., Pratylenchus spp. and Scutellonema spp. have been the nematode genera recognized. However, Scutellonema spp. was discovered to be probably the most pathogenic nematode affecting yam tuber yield and bodily high quality. Chromolaena and Moringa mulches suppressed Scutellonema spp. populations by 80.7% and 76.2% respectively as in comparison with the Panicum maximum mulch. The suppressed Scutellonema spp. inhabitants considerably contributed to greater tuber yields and good tuber bodily high quality beneath the M. oleifera and C. odorata mulches compared to the P. maximum mulch.
