I have been planting moringa like crazy. Cuttings, seeds, transplants. My goal is about 1,000 as support, and to out-pace the goats. Fantastic for chop and drop as well as for human and animal health.
If it was me, I'd make a swale or two on your higher slope to help control the flooding on the lower elevations. Or perhaps a pond? Or a combination?
Hi! I’ve enjoyed watching your videos. We love our moringa tree. I’m always surprised how fast it grows. We cut it often and eat the green leaves sautéed with garlic, added to soup or raw. The seed pods are really good too, they taste similar to artichokes to me. I’ve read that you can eat the entire tree except for the roots! Nearly every home in my neighborhood has a moringa tree. Aloha from Kauai! ~Susan
Another great video. I’m really enjoying them. My little moringa is being very poky about growing. Its been in the ground (9a) for 3 months, but it’s only 2 feet tall. It gets lotsa bright indirect sunshine, and an hour or so of direct sun. Anyone know what the problem is?
I have about 10 trees. Don't be surprised if you get a tree where those laid down too. Any part of the root left in the ground has the potential to grow into another tree. They are super easy to propagate by cutting too. Enjoy! They are an amazing food source!
I cut back the mooring to cover them and save them from the frosts in central Florida. so I grind them up and mix the grindings into my potting soil.
