It has the ability to suck lot of water along with other toxins and store it in its trunk. Chances are that during karkada masam, the toxins would be released into its leaves.
Which is why traditional seers and ayurvedic practioners would suggest not consuming moringa leaves during this time of the year. However, most moringa tree will shed the leaves during this period. So, it is best not to pluck fresh moringa leaves during this period and consume.

  1. Good day Nisa! Thank you for sharing how to make Moringa tea…my question is if it is ok to add collagen powder to the tea or will the Moringa lose it's efficacy? I am converting from coffee to Moringa, however I add collagen powder in my coffee. I don't want to give up the collagen powder. Please advise your suggestion. Thank you!

  2. My powder instructions say serving size is 1 tbsp. No wonder I can't stand the taste. I don't mind bitter but this is nasty. I founda big dose of lemon juice and pinching my nose helped me get the drink down my throat. I will decrease dose. The taste is too potent and I find it doesn't dissolve well. I will try the warm water suggestion. Thank you

  3. I have PCOS and I remember how l felt when the doctor toid me it would be hard for me to conceive I now have 4 children very successful pregnancies God blessed me with use of herbs!

  4. You people are tough. I tried a few recipes, some were on the package of moringa powder I got from my local Walmart, and it overwhelms everything that I try it in. To me it taste like grass clippings, no matter how much honey I add to the drink. I going to try a few more recipes but I am not holding out much hope to find one I can tolerate. I am doing it to maybe help with blood sugar levels, and keep energy levels up.

  5. I notice you say warm water not hot as this may alter it's values. Research into this has shown that even when cooking with the powder, or making a hot drink from the powder, in no way effects it's benefits. I hope.this helps. 😁
