  5. It won't grow year round unattended in most of the U.S. because it doesn't like cold weather. I can tolerate brief exposure to frosty weather, but prolonged exposure or hard freezes kill the top part and if severe enough will kill unprotected roots as well.

    Where it does grow, it can be quite a prolific producer. It's very well suited for bringing inside for the winter. It has a small root ball, so you can grow quite a large tree in a large pot. You can be absolutely brutal with cutting it back. You can even cut it all the way down to the ground and it will quickly recover. So if you need to take it inside for the winter and it's too big, just cut it back until it's small enough to get inside your garage or shed or house or whatever.

    If you can protect the roots from freezing, you can even keep it outside in the winter. Some people even build a cage around it and stuff it with an insulating material like pine straw (something that won't mat down and lose its insulation qualities when rained on). I suppose if you could keep the insulating material dry you could probably use wadded up newspapers, shredded paper, etc.

    Just don't let the roots get soaked for a long time, ESPECIALLY in the winter. They will rot and the tree will die. That is even more likely to kill them than cold weather. Grow the tree in VERY well drained soil. I lost several trees growing in what I thought was well drained soil when we had a couple of weeks of rain in the middle of winter.

  6. OMG … they threw out the water after cooking it!! You don't boil moringa as if its brocolli or spinach. You add moringa leaves and drumsticks to a dish and therefore cook it in the dish your making.
